This introductory module offers an excellent opportunity to build your knowledge around childcare and the industry before taking on a more advanced course required for employment.
Award: QQI Level 4 Component Certificate in Childcare and Safety
Duration: January to May 2027, part-time, Monday and Wednesday 9.30a.m.-11.30a.m.

Course Requirements:
It is recommended that participants have a good understanding of computers or have achieved a level 3 award.
For those with English as a second language, a good standard of both written and spoken English is required.
Progression routes:
The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to progress to further education or employment in a variety of different areas.
Further Education: Early Learning and Care Certificate, Stage 1
