This Course provides the learner with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skill and competencies required in Microsoft Office and bookkeeping and accounting to work under supervision in an administrative or finance related role in the private, public or voluntary sector.

Award: QQI Level 5, Component Certificates in Bookkeeping, Manual and Computerised, Accounting, Manual and Computerised and Microsoft Excel

Duration: September 2026 to May 2027, part-time, Bookkeeping/Accounting: Tuesday 9.30am to 12.45pm & Thursday 9.30am to 11.30am and Excel 11.45am to 1.45pm

  • Bookkeeping, Manual and Computerised, 5N1354 (September to December 2026)

  • Excel- Spreadsheets, 5N1977 (September to May 2027)

  • Accounting, Manual and Computerised, 5N1348 (January to May 2027)* Please note this is the only module offered in January 2027

Course Requirements:

  • It is recommended that participants have a good level of education and an interest in retail or administration.

  • For those with English as a second language, a good standard of both written and spoken English is required.

  • Progression Routes:

Course Requirements:

  • Garda Vetting will be required for work experience- Learner’s will need one current Photographic ID (Drivers License or Passport) and a Proof of Address document that is not a mobile phone bill or Revolut account statement. This proof of address will need to be dated within 6 months of the Vetting Application date. An example is a TV licence or Utility Bill in the Learner’s name.

  • For those with English as a second language, a good standard of both written and spoken English is required.

This course will enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and competence to work as a special needs assistant in a school environment. The scheduling of the course will allow participants to work while completing their studies.

Award: QQI Component Certificate in Special Needs Assisting 5N1786.

Duration: September to December; Monday 9.30 to 12.45pm and Thursday 9.30am to 12.45pm

  • Special Needs Assisting: September to December plus 30 hours work experience

  • Special Needs Assisting 5N1786

Course Requirements:
