This module will enable applicants to work with printmaking techniques to a high level and engage in art practices within a studio environment under direction from studio personnel.

Participants will engage with printmaking techniques such as relief printing, dry point etching, monoprint and stencil/screen Printing.

Award: QQI Level 6 Component Certificate in Printmaking

September to December 2026, part-time, Monday 9.30am to 12.45pm and Friday 9.30am to 11.30am

Course Requirements:

  • Applicants must have relevant work experience or a related QQI level 5 Award to participate in this course.

  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently in an artistic environment.

  • For those with English as a second language, a good standard of both written and spoken English is required.

  • The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to progress to further or higher education or employment in a variety of different areas.

This course will enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and competence to work as a special needs assistant in a school environment. The scheduling of the course will allow participants to work while completing their studies.

Award: QQI Component Certificate in Special Needs Assisting 5N1786.

Duration: September to December; Monday 9.30 to 12.45pm and Thursday 9.30am to 12.45pm

Course Requirements:

  • Garda Vetting will be required for work experience- Learner’s will need one current Photographic ID (Drivers License or Passport) and a Proof of Address document that is not a mobile phone bill or Revolut account statement. This proof of address will need to be dated within 6 months of the Vetting Application date. An example is a TV licence or Utility Bill in the Learner’s name.

  • For those with English as a second language, a good standard of both written and spoken English is required.

Progression routes:

  • Employment as an SNA in a school environment

  • Further Education: Early Learning and Care, Stage 1 Qualification

  • Further Education: Special Needs Assisting, Level 6 component certificate

Evening Course: Healthcare Support

Duration: Academic Year, 2 evenings per week, Tuesday and Thursday

6.00pm - 9.00pm

Modules Included from September 2026 to May 2027:

  • Work Experience- Tuesday evening (September to December 2026)

  • Infection Prevention and Control- Thursday evening (September to December 2026)

  • Care Support- Tuesday evening (January to May 2027)

Learners can do any amount of the five modules offered to build their own timetable to suit their individual learning needs. The modules offered on this course provide an excellent opportunity to develop IT skills to progress to further education or the workplace, or to upskill in this area for personal gain.
